Review terminology
Familiarize yourself with part names so the instructions read clearly.
Remove Bar Plug
Remove the original bar plug from your drop bar—typically the left side for riding on the right side of the road. Note, a plastic tire lever may be helpful if it doesn't remove easily.
Insert Mirror
Insert the mirror while holding the Expander Tube to pass through any bar tape tucked inside the handlebar end. (It is best to install with the Expander Tube, but it can be removed if fitment is too tight. In this case, tucked tape will provide all necessary compliance.)
Rotate to Secure
Hold the End Cap to prevent it from spinning freely while turning the mirror clockwise until secure. This will take numerous turns, depending on how much tape is tucked into your handlebar.
Tune Adjustment
Move the mirror up and down to make sure it holds position securely and suits your preference for ease of use. For a firmer setting, rotate another 360 degrees. (If turning a complete 360 degrees is not possible, you can loosen the assembly and rotate the End Cap 180 degrees. Then tune adjustment from there.)
Other notes...
Effective riding with a mirror takes some getting used to. Expect to spend a half dozen rides gaining proficiency. Of course, don't forget to maintain your attention on the road ahead.
Keep your mirror clean of dirt, sweat, and fingerprints just like you do your sunglasses.
Avoid windex or other cleaners that include ammonia, which can "desilver" the mirror.
